  • Congratulations to the Marceline Band
Marceline Band has earned a Division "I" Exemplary Excellence rating at MSHSAA Band Festival!!!!

The band has been preparing 2 pieces of music since February, and performed them today. Then, the band was given a piece of music that they had never seen before and we had 6 minutes to look it over, and I taught it. Then we performed it and were judged on that performance.

We received "I" ratings from all four judges including sight-reading! The band has not received a one rating in several several years!!

  • Congratulations FFA Members
Marceline FFA has qualified TWO CDE teams, Entomology and Farm Management, to compete at the State CDE competition April 19th-20th in Columbia, MO. The last time Marceline FFA had a state qualifying team was in 2014. Unlike sporting events that are broken into divisions by size, in FFA competitions our small school competes against schools much larger than us in the NE district of the state. The NE District covers three areas all of which have approximately 20+ schools in them. That makes our success today that much more impressive because it shows we can compete with schools much larger than us who have multiple teacher departments.

Results from teams competing today are:

Entomology (8th place): Rhiannon, Bailee, Dakota, and Madison

Farm Management (8th place): Ian, Luke, and Hayden

Poultry (19th place): Trevor, Ally, and Payton
